Homeopathy a Promising Alternative to Chemo

Since 2012, scientists have been aware that chemotherapy can inadvertently encourage cancer growth (see report here) and a recent article in the What Doctors Don’t Tell You magazine highlighted a report in the Lancet 2014 in which thought-leaders from across cancer research and treatment concluded that: ” Despite the introduction of hundreds of new anti-cancer drugs, including advanced therapies (so-called magic bullets) aimed at particular weapons in the enemy’s armamentarium, the consensus was that, for most forms of cancer, enduring disease-free responses were rare, and cures, even rarer.” The article in WDDTY suggested that the best results with cancer treatments feature approaches that boost, rather than destroying, the natural immunity of the body. It includes homeopathy as a ‘promising alternative’ particularly the Banerji approach which uses combinations of remedies. A recent audit found that regressions ranged from 22 to 32%…for lung, brain and oesophageal cancer’ in homeopathic hospitals in India (WDDTY March 2015).

Homeopathy Better than Placebo

An article in What Doctors Don’t Tell You reveals that homeopathy beats placebos, despite the fact that many conventional drugs are performing increasingly poorly compared to placebos (see this article).

Homeopathy is dismissed as being nothing more than placebo; in other words, any benefits are entirely in the mind of the patient and not in the remedy.  But a new review has found that homeopathic remedies are almost twice as effective as placebo.

People given a homeopathic remedy are, on average, 1.98 times more likely to improve compared to those given only a placebo, or dummy pill. But the key is that the participants were given individualised remedies, which tend to be the type prescribed by a homeopath when face-to-face with the patient.

Earlier studies—that found no benefit over placebo—had evaluated the effectiveness of general homeopathic remedies, such as arnica for muscle pains, or oscillococcinum for flu symptoms.

In the new analysis, researcher Robert Mathie from the British Homeopathic Association considered 32 trials, covering 24 medical conditions, but decided to work with only three, which he found to be the most robust.

The Memory of Water

A one hour documentary “On a retrouvé la mémoire de l’eau” [Rediscovering the Memory of Water] has been broadcast by the state-owned France 5 television station and is also on You Tube.

The film looks at an experiment conducted by Luc Montagnier, who won a Nobel Prize for discovering the AIDS virus.

  • In France DNA from a patient infected with aids is serially diluted in a similar way to making a homeopathic potency;
  • Phials of this highly diluted material are then randomly mixed with phials of distilled water;
  • A phial of prepared DNA is identified from the randomised samples by its electromagnetic signature;
  • This signature is recorded as a digital file, and the file is transmitted to a laboratory in Italy;
  • There the file is used to generate an electromagnetic field, and a phial of distilled water is exposed to this field for one hour;
  • Protein bases and a catalyst are added to the the water, and the original DNA molecule is reconstructed;
  • The structure of the two DNA molecules in France and Italy are then analysed and compared, and are found to be virtually identical.
    As they say, in theory this “is like making a photocopy without an original”, unless the homeopathic process of potentisation enables water to record information about material placed in it.

    This experiment follows in the footsteps of Jacques Benveniste, and it is a particularly striking demonstration of how it is possible for homeopathic remedies to be active despite not having any of the original material in them. Over 11,000 people had viewed the programme on You Tube so far, and the number keeps rising.
