Aluminum toxicity is the most important factor limiting the growth of plants in acid soils. A study has recently been carried out to evaluate the influence of homeopathic preparations Alumina and Calc Carb on the germination and vigor of lettuce seeds subjected to toxic levels of aluminum in paper-solution. The statistical design was entirely randomised and the results showed a significant dfference in germination speed and radicle length between the samples treated with homeopathic preparations and the controls. In conclusion, Alumina and Calc Carb had significant effect on the vigor of lettuce seeds subjected to stress conditions. To read the full report, click here.
Aluminium toxicity can also be a factor in human ill health. Aluminium can accumulate in our bodies from cooking pans, municipal water supplies, some foods, anti-inflammatory products and pain-killers. It can contibute to Alzheimers and general memory loss, gastrointestinal disturbance, poor calcium absorption, bone problems, decreased liver and kidney fuction, dizziness and aching muscles.
